When Caroline and Johanna strap shoes on their feet and race outside with, “we’re going to our house,” I know exactly where they are going.
“Our house” has become the special place where two young imaginations reign. It is where they sit and talk, look out over the field through the wire fence and discover new trails through the brush in between mazes of trees.
This is everything I’ve ever dreamed up for my children: a place they can explore and make their own. Especially it being in nature–there are endless possibilities of make believe. So we’ve officially made it their own “house.”
They painted a wooden board side by side and Caroline wrote her own inscription:
Now everyone will know the exact entrance they prefer to enter into their magical world.
