{Singin in the Rain music played and played, with Johanna spending most of the party dancing. Each little guest woud take home a collection of our favorites to enjoy as a favor.}

{The cake with Johanna and Caroline as the topper. Decorating a special cake late the night before a party is definitely becoming tradition here. More on the cake tomorrow.}
{My girls’ favorite part of the decoration–scenes of the movie. Before the party, they carried them everywhere and sang whatever song the scenes reminded them of.}
{My favorite: so many homemade cards from little friends.}
{And such meaningful, creative gifts for my girls. Does Mommy look excited or what? A fun day.}

What an awesome theme for the party. Did the weather have anything to do with the theme? I’ve loved the rain we’ve gotten…
BTW It’s giveaway time over at my place: http://beinglds.blogspot.com/2010/08/celebrate-family-rsvp-giveaway.html
I was originally planning on everyone having an umbrella while we played in the sprinkler. That fell through so we played in the sprinkler anyway. I was kinda hoping for rain to create the mood a little more.
So cute! yesterday when the hubs and I were reading in 1 Samuel there was a person/place named “Zelza” or something. I couldn’t resist crying out “ZELDA! OHHHHH ZELDA!!!!”
What can I say?” dignity, always dignity”….
That is our all time favorite movie! I may have to steal that idea for one of our parties!
What a lovely party and yes I could tell mama was excited. You did a wonderful job and that cake was awesome. Have a great week.

Looks like a fun party. I LOVE the cake! Very impressive. Wish we could have been there.
Hi! What a beautiful party! My daughter has been asking for almost a year for her 3-year-old birthday party to have this exact theme. Where did you get the doll toppers? What types of actvites did you do? I would love any ideas you have to share
