Who Is The Sleepy Time Gal?
“Sleepy time gal when all your dancing is through
Sleepy time gal I’ll find a cottage for you
You’ll learn to cook and to sew
What’s more you’ll love it I know
When you’re a stay at home, play at home 8 o’clock sleepy time gal”
This song is quintessentially me and the life I’ve learned to love and embrace. I have four young daughters (6, 4, 2, and 2– yes, identical twins) and an understanding (and outnumbered) husband. Life for me is in constant motion. And in that motion is where the thrill comes, in making the most of the fleeting moments of everyday life.
I enjoy nothing more than creating for my children, creating with my children, and being the one to introduce them to the beauties of life. We bake, sew, paint, read, observe, discover, homeschool, and try to make the most of each day. I’m like any other mom with good and bad days, tears to kiss away, tantrums to resolve (especially between toddler twins!) and constantly seeking balance and peace. Mothering is the most extreme process of transformation that constantly makes more of me than I ever thought imaginable.
This blog is my attempt to capture those moments through my thoughts, photography, and creations. I hope you’ll get comfortable and enjoy.

{No, we normally don’t dress this way. We look colonial, right?}
