Fort hunter is a magical place where local Indians once fished on its Susquehanna River and the frontier expanded and grew. The beautiful Federal-style mansion was build on the old site of the French and Indian War Fort Hunter.
Yesterday the girls made clay pottery, helped furnish a wigwam, and Johanna stood as close to the tour guides as she could so she wouldn’t miss a word.
I watched my girls–especially my little historian Johanna–soak it all in. Surrounded by red and yellow trees, the beautiful river, and spending a morning just with my two girls, was a day well spent.
And what did I find Johanna doing after returning home? Playing everything she observed through play with her Indians.
