Our annual apple picking day yesterday was absolutely perfect. (Yes, quite the opposite from the previous day–thanks again for your support and words.) From a wagon tour over the hills of apple trees to picking apples off the tree, my daughters know fall is close when this day arrives.
My favorite part is walking through the market: Amish cheeses, apple cider donuts, fresh apple cider, apple cinnamon bread, and more varieties of apples than I ever knew existed. We ate our donuts together and enjoyed friends and beautiful weather before returning home over the mountain. I love these seasonal traditions. They are the most wonderful uniting and memorable aspects of family life. Would you agree?
What does your family do/make/eat/visit to bring in the season of fall?
What fall traditions have you always wanted to start?
My dream tradition still is to plan and start an annual fall harvest party for my family and friends as an alternative to halloween. I know some year it will happen.
I’d love to hear about your traditions and what you’re looking forward to this fall.
Happy Friday to you all!
