Our last night at the ocean, I caught myself speaking to heaven.
Many of us were awestruck at the grandeur of the evening tide and purple sky as we reverently walked along the sand.
But not Caroline.
She moved with the waves, took in every breath of the sea, dug her hands deep into the sand one last time, and lived every awe-inspired fascination that her little body possessed.
I humbly talked to heaven that night, she danced and danced and danced on the ocean’s stage.
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder, my dear one.

Lovely!
Her skirt perfectly matches the sea!!! She is precious! Thanks for the reminder to delight in each child’s own little ways…
PS-Canon Rocks!
Beach experience with my own children is really fascinating.
I had never been a beach person, but it was totally different with kids.
It was a great finding to me when I was at Cape Cod with Ayumi when she was 3 years old.
I’ve never been to Cape Cod– would LOVE to experience that!
She is precious and I too hope she never looses what she is blessed with.
I LOVE these photos! What a beautiful girl she is, and in such a stunning place.
Caroline reminds me so much of Riley at that age with that gorgeous hair! That hair is no longer and I really miss it =(
Kids just love the beach. We spent hours on the beach with our kids and they exhausted themselves chasing after the waves. Beautiful pictures.
She looks gorgeous! Oh to have that hair!!
I absolutely love everything about this post!! Beautiful
