{Let the poor girl read!}
On this rainy January morning I’ve got a few cool things to share. First off, I loved reading about your first and seconds yesterday. All of your comments made me smile.
In case you haven’t noticed, The Sleepy Time Gal has been under a bit of construction. There are some changes coming that I’m hoping will make this space easier to navigate and more informative. So stay tuned for that coming really soon. I’m pretty excited about it!
{Thank you!}
Here is a list of some things I’ve been loving:
- Wonderopolis. An exciting blog especially for kids featuring a unique wonder of the day. Today’s is “Where is the coldest place on the earth?” There always is a short video and lots of information and further links. Our favorite so far is the “Are Sea Anemones Plants or Animals?” (Caroline is pretty obsessed with the sticky note one because of the video.)
- Custom handwriting sheets. Our most recent printout was “Caroline and Johanna are always hungry. I think they are elephants.” It is a lot of fun for the kids to practice their handwriting.
- National Geographic News. Take a moment in your day for catching up on the world with your kids. The photography is well worth it.
- How I’d like to finish off our brussels sprouts–brussels sprouts with smoky onions on cheddar toast. (Found it on Pinterest. I’ll have a button for following me on Pinterest coming with the reno.)
- A bathtub rave with glowsticks. What a great idea. Thanks Christina!
- I’m hopefully trying this homemade liquid soap this weekend. It sounds so yummy.
- The world of Roald Dahl has begun to open up to Caroline. She’s halfway through James and the Giant Peach. Here’s Roald Dahl’s official website. Pretty fun.
- Browsed through a friend’s Simple Modern Sewing and loved it. Loved the Japanese influence on simple and natural women’s clothing.
- Really cool itextbooks for iPad. Opens up a whole new world of learning at your fingertips.
See you back Monday.

Wonderopolis looks so cool…thank you!
Woohoo, bathtub raves! Target makes them especially convenient with the supercheap glow sticks in the dollar spot.
