Right now…
- we’re spending more days indoors being creative rather than romping outdoors
- looking forward to our “January Life” plan just written and posted of what to do, read, and learn together, both day and night
- enjoying a winter indoors while exploring and relaxing with fiber arts
- discovering our home again without all the red and green and decorations
- committing to less sweets and more green in our days having left the holidays behind
- loving the smiles and hints of laughter from our little Rowan as he turns three months old today

Your daily rhythm sounds much like ours. A January list does help, doesn’t it? Happy 3 months to that precious baby.
Yes, Gina, January does need a little nudge, doesn’t it?
I am discovering that January in an apartment with a toddler is very different than January in an apartment with a baby! Could you share what’s on your January List? I need some ideas!
Some of “to-do”:
Bobby reading a classic aloud before bed, embroidery (I have a little kid’s embroidery basket I’ll post tomorrow your little one might enjoy), making our play dough to use through the winter, family board game night, paper dolls, making pinecone bird feeders, snuggling on the floor with blankets to listen to audio stories…
We don’t have toddlers right now, but some of our favorite toddler activities are setting cans, pantry food, bags, and a register to play grocery store, making a tent and putting books inside, letting the child pour dry beans in smaller containers, making art with flour on a countertop with their finger. Hope some of these ideas work!
Rowan looks so peaceful… I can’t wait to see the Embroidery Basket.
We’re getting our winter kitchen ready for the girls these next few days…I can’t wait till it’s ready. It should provide a lot of fun. I am really looking forward to it.
My Matthew just turned 5 months. I would love to meet Rowan before long
